Product Description
Everyone in Okon’s family can dance. Okon’s arms move like logs of wood.
When the sky turns the colour of ripe mangoes, Okon sits under his grandmother’s udara tree and listens to the drums. Every December the Ekong clan dances at the Eket Day Festival. His sisters wind her waists. His brothers dance the ekombi. Okon stumbles. In a dusty corner of grandma Ekaette’s living room, there is an old drum. Okon touches it. Boom!
