Doing. Being. Becoming: For the Love of the Creative Arts is a nonfiction book that makes a compelling case for why the creative arts should be at the center of everything we do in society.

Using her personal stories from growing up in Festac Town, Lagos, Nigeria to her engagement with the youth as a grassroots organizer, author Rita Ezenwa-Okoro shares concepts about creative arts as a revolutionary activity and catalyst for building ecosystems where youths can thrive.

In this book, you will learn how:

• The Global South can rise above the limitations of poverty by engaging in play and performance.
• Asking questions can make young people become culture creators.
• Creative Arts can be placed at the heart of society’s leadership, recreational, and wellness development through intentional investment in creative infrastructure.

Each chapter of Doing. Being. Becoming: For the Love of the Creative Arts ends with improvisational creative exercises to inspire you to build with whatever life throws at you.
